The Kawaiaha’o Church in Honolulu is situated at 957 Punchbowl Street, where it has stood since it was erected in 1842 from 14000 huge slabs of solid coral, weighing over 1000 pounds each and quarried from reefs up to 20 feet under the water by hand. The Kawaiaha’o Church has been the venue of coronations, weddings and the funerals of generations of Hawaiian royalty.
