Prague’s Powder Tower, one of the 13 original Gothic defences of the Old Town, is a magnificent monument near the famous Karlsbrucke. The Tower dates back to the 13th century, when, in 1475 building commenced by Vladislav of Jagellon. The Gothic look was created later after the tower was destroyed in 1799. Josef Mocker reconstructed the tower between 1875 and 1886.
You will not find any other city like Prague where there are many old and beautiful monuments such as Prague's Powder Tower. After a day of exploration and absorbing such a lot of history, you will need to relax in your choice of the welcoming Prague hotels.
